Power dynamics, implications of magic/worldbuilding eg. the effects of Thomas's Hunger (eg. maybe he is forced to resort to rape/being raped), Thomas feeling guilty about his powers/Hunger, Harry generally being inexperienced/lowkey naive

Dracula
I'd love to see emphasis on the horror aspects of the story, leaning into how inhuman Dracula/ the Brides are - both physically and in terms of their morals etc.
I'm also a fan of corruption, especially within the context of 19th Century ideas about purity, religion etc.
